Established in 1989, we provide a portfolio of services as specialists in escalators and moving walkways to companies throughout the UK. SDV can supply components and spare parts for all major escalator and moving walkway manufacturers.
From our centrally located head office in Skipton, North Yorkshire we can provide three types of contracts for service and maintenance to cover escalator installations, sales, maintenance and repairs to companies in the UK.
Escalator installations have been carried out by SDV with both private and public sector bodies. Projects include shopping centres, transport termini and underground systems. One of our recent projects has seen SDV carry out work in the Tyne Tunnel situated in Newcastle Upon Tyne – which has one of the longest escalators in the UK (306 steps). This was one of SDV’s most challenging projects, due to the age of the machinery and its Grade II Listed Building status.
