Escalators are machines and often the daily cleaning routine is not enough to ensure that they remain looking as good as you would wish. Steps, landing plates and decking become dull and dirty through use, and handrails lose their shine.

It is important to keep the escalator truss, pits and underneath the steps clean to reduce the risk of fire and to prolong the service life of your escalator. When an escalator is dirty inside conditions can be created where dirt, dust, oil, fluff and grease combine and begin to “grind” the moving parts of the escalator.
