When an escalator reaches the end of its service life, it requires safe removal and disposal. If the building use changes, the escalator may no longer be needed, or it may require to be relocated within the same building or at another site.

SDV Escalators is experienced in the safe and effective removal of escalator machinery. We can also facilitate the relocation of escalators if required.

For your removal we will create a project specific plan, together with a detailed method statement and risk assessment. In accordance with regulation, we will also provide full certification for the lifting equipment that will be used.

SDV are registered waste carriers. We hold an environmental permit from the Environment Agency, allowing us to transport the escalator, and any other waste away from site if required.
