Quite apart from the loss of capability and other practical impacts, an installation that is out of service can negatively affect your customer’s perception of your facilities and your organisation.

We undertake repairs to all types of escalators and moving walks.  If we also service your installation SDV will, where it is safe and practicable, complete minor repairs at the same time as the scheduled maintenance visit to minimise your costs and inconvenience. 
Replacement or repair of the handrail and replacement of major components will be completed at a time convenient to your business.  We can arrange the work outside your normal business hours to avoid disruption to your daily routine.

If you require, SDV engineers can be onsite within hours and if your escalator requires additional replacement parts they can be dispatched to site anywhere within the UK & Ireland to arrive before 9am the next day.

SDV has been able to repair machines which the OEM or current service company has written off because parts are not available. Often their recommendation is to buy brand new equipment.  Because we are the specialists at sourcing and reconditioning parts that are not commercially available we have been able to save our customers the time, effort, hassle and cost of replacing their escalator.
